Anne-Claude Leflaive's nephew at the helm of the family estate

  • Featured

Brice de la Morandière, nephew of the late Anne-Claude Leflaive, has been appointed to succeed his aunt as general manager of Domaine Leflaive in Burgundy.

With Brice de la Morandière, this family takes over the domain for the fourth consecutive generation. It was the shareholders who appointed him following the death of Anne-Claude Leflaive in April.

He said he was looking forward to returning to Burgundy after 27 years running multinationals.

“My roots have always remained in Puligny-Montrachet and in our domain. I participated in important events, in our board of directors, and I renovated our new family house in the village,” he explained.

He is committed to continuing the work of his aunt, a passionate pioneer of biodynamic viticulture who contributed to the foundation of the École du Vin et des Terroirs in Puligny-Montrachet.

He said: “We will continue the philosophy and respect for this great terroir, the humility towards the forces of nature and the relentless search for winemaking excellence that Anne-Claude had adopted and implemented. »
