Château de la Maltroye – Bourgogne Aligoté (white)
AOC BOURGOGNE ALIGOTÉ
The color is a bright golden yellow, with a deep nose developing flavors of apricot, white peach and grapefruit. The mouth is beautiful – a strong burst of white fruits with a refreshing citrus mouth and a long finish.
ESTATE & WINE MAKER
This castle and caves date from the fifteenth century and have been the property of the Cournut family since 1940. Former aeronautical engineer, Jean-Pierre Cournut, beautifully revitalized the vineyard, whose heritage is in exceptional wines in Chassagne. Significant work has allowed the area to develop high-performance tools for winemaking. Whites continue to peak, and the reds for their part have a very nice personality and expressive fruits.
