Poit Dhubh 8 Y.O. – Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

Pronounced “potch ghoo“, this is the gaelic term for an illicit still, which was the traditional source for some of the most respected whiskies. Poit Dhubh is a fine unchillfiltered malt, matured in sherry casks.

NOSE

Medium-sweet, slightly fresh and rich.

PALATE

Full-bodied, medium sweet and rich with a good aromatic backbone of peatiness.

FINISH

Long, smoky and slightly perfumed.

HISTORY

Prabàn Na Linne: In 1976, Sir Iain Noble set up a whisky company to help create employment on the Isle of Skye and to provide an authentic whisky for the Gaelic speaking islands of Scotland. This company is one of the few remaining independent businesses in the Scotch Whisky industry.
