WINE MAKER

The estate has been in the family for 3 generations. It has been run by Bernard Bouvier and his wife Stéphanie since 1992. Henri Bouvier, Bernard’s grandfather, created the estate in 1910. Henri’s son, René, took over in 1950 and by 1991 the estate had been extended to 12 hectares. Today it stretches over 18 hectares.

SITE

Predominantly located around Gevrey-Chambertin, the estate produces both ‘Premier’ and ‘Grands Crus’ with vineyards in six different villages.

GRAPE VARIETY

100% Pinot noir.

SOIL

Limestone and marl.

GROWING METHOD

Organic farming has been practiced since 2006. Both Guyot and single cordon pruning are used.

SURFACE AREA

18 hectares.

VINIFICATION

The bunches are hand picked and very meticulously sorted. The grapes are fully destemmed with a long maceration of 24 days

AGEING

18 months in 50% new barrels.
