Domaine des Gandines – Mâcon Villages
AOC MACON
Lovely pale yellow with bright green hues. The nose develops aromas of fresh citrus, lime notes and slightly salty aftertase. The palate is well balanced with a good acidity and expresses the perfect character of Chardonnay balanced with an intense mineral flavour due to the soil.
ESTATE & WINE MAKER
The estate was established in 1925. In 1979, Robert Dananchet took over the estate from his father. Robert continued the work in wines while respecting the tradition and terroir using no herbicides or chemical fertilizers, and increased the size of the estate. Since the arrival of Benjamin Dananchet in 2005, the vineyard is in organic farming. Father and son have the same philosophy of producing great Chardonnay wines while respecting the earth, the living environment, and health.

The vines are located in the Côte Maconnaise in the plot named Berthoud

100% Chardonnay.

Clay and limestone.
GROWING METHOD
The vines, grown in organic agriculture, have never received chemical fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides. The soil benefits from organic and microbial life that gives the plant everything it needs to produce perfectly healthy, ripe grapes.

VINIFICATION
Vinified and aged on fine lees.
AGEING
6 months in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
