Domaine Aurélien Suenen – Grand Cru Blanc de Blanc Extra-Brut
AOC CHAMPAGNE
White
The future Anselme Selosse – a great expression of chalky terroir which engages in the nose first. There are a wide range of ripe fruit, cassis and verbena flower notes, with a fleshy and sappy matter that revolves around a beautiful frame and ends with saline notes.
ESTATE & WINE MAKER
Born in 1985, Aurélien Suenen quickly left Cramant with the ambition of becoming a professional basketball player. After a few years in Philadelphia he came back in 2004 and finally took control of the domain in early 2009. The whole vineyard has been reworked. Synthetic products and farming inputs were implemented to let the earth speak freely, without giving them guidance. Herbicides have since stopped on the Côte des Blancs, and the goal is to bring the estate to a single healthy and natural product, which will be a fair reflection of the terroir.
