Rosé
The Château du Seuil wines are characterised by their fruitiness and supple structure. These traditional wines are typical of the region of Provence.
WINE MAKER
Carreau Gaschereau family.
SITE
The vineyard, extending over various parcels, is mostly planted on the slopes of the Trévaresse Mountain (between 400-500 metres in altitude).
GRAPE VARIETY
Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault.
SOIL
The soil is made up of chalky-clay and basaltic sediment.
GROWING METHOD
Red grape varietals are planted on the South-West side, while white varietals are on the North-West.
SURFACE AREA
55 hectares.
DENSITY
45 and 50 hectolitres / hectare.
VINIFICATION
Harvest at dawn to preserve freshness. Destemming and crushing before pressing. The direct press and saignée (bleeding) methods are chosen depending on the grape varieties and vintage. Vinification takes place in vats regulated between 13°C and 18°C.
AGEING
No ageing
