Château de la Maltroye – Chassagne-Montrachet (white)
AOC CHASSAGNE-MONTRACHET
A nice yellow colour with green reflections. The nose exudes aromas of white and exotic fruits with subtle notes of white flowers. The palate is mineral and fresh, quite powerful and well balanced.
ESTATE & WINE MAKER
This castle and caves date from the fifteenth century and have been the property of the Cournut family since 1940. Former aeronautical engineer, Jean-Pierre Cournut, beautifully revitalized the vineyard, whose heritage is in exceptional wines in Chassagne. Significant work has allowed the area to develop high-performance tools for winemaking. Whites continue to peak, and the reds for their part have a very nice personality and expressive fruits.
